The AAJT-S is a multi-functional, externally applied truncal and junctional tourniquet that utilizes a wedge-shaped bladder to press into the body to occlude blood flow through all vasculature under the site of application.
The AAJT-S is cleared by the FDA for use to control difficult bleeding situations in the abdomen, axilla, inguinal area and for pelvic fractures. The AAJT device has been used successfully in military combat and in civilian pre-hospital settings and is the only junctional tourniquet proven to save human life in upper and lower junctional bleeding.
